It’s a VMwrap!
Greetings! VMworld 2012 is in the can, and we’re heading home.
We had a great time at the show — talked to lots of potential customers, and saw some familiar faces, too. Always good to catch up with old friends and make some new ones along the way!
It was really fun to show off our new VDI server. (You can see the VDI appliance inside the demo rack, above.)
We also had the opportunity for some great conversations with our partners (shout-outs to Nexenta, STEC, and LSI!)
Our VDI announcement was a big hit and we got lots of positive feedback. People are excited about the StorageDirector Z250VDI storage appliance for VDI because it helps them consolidate, reduce costs, and makes deployments so much easier. In short, we’re making VDI easy!
During the show, LSI debuted their Nytro MegaRAID acceleration cards. The cards will be available soon in both our server and storage products. For our customers, this means even better performance while reducing overall storage costs.
And while our VDI announcement was a top moment for us, it did get some stiff competition from the chance to meet this guy:
No, not Erik (although that’s always a highlight, of course) — it’s Brent Spiner, Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation! (Data…get it? Data?!)
If you didn’t get a chance to stop by our booth at VMworld, visit our new VDI page to find out how we’re making VDI easy and cost-effective with our all-in-one VMware-certified StorageDirector Z250VDI appliance, powered by Nexenta VSA for View.
Thanks again, VMworld — we had a great time.
See you next year!
